"The Line" is a live futuristic racing spectacle: five illuminated lanes, fifty riders, severe waivers, a whole city betting on who survives the nine-month season. You are last season's champion: the one who vanished without explanation and has now returned, unnamed and unregistered. The entire grid wants you eliminated. The champion's prize is entry to a room that answers a single question. Why you came back is yours alone; this story never makes you say it.
